Add Some Decor Pizzazz with Hot Pink Furnishings

Susi here. I’m a writer for Design Shuffle, a social platform with tons of interior design ideas from interior designers to see and be seen. I really like the topic of my post today—everyone needs a bit of sassy hot pink in their lives. It is so bold it really doesn’t come across as being too girly, just a bit more sophisticated. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Hot pink colored furniture and accents can liven up a room. We’re adoring hot pink furnishings, from contemporary to traditional, mixed in with neutrals and bright colors. A little hot pink can go a long way, so one or two pieces in a room will make a statement but won’t turn the space into Barbie’s Dreamhouse. Here are some of our favorite hot pink furnishings and interior design ideas:

Coco Cozy {via}

Hot pink sectional and hot pink bar stools look great in this modern loft in NYC. We like the pink against the teak and warm woods in the living area.

Champagne Candy {via}

Hot pink bed and matching bench look elegante against dark carpet and silver accessories. So glamorous!

Paris Apartment {via}

A traditional Louis XV style chest of drawers in hot pink is a big statement piece. Feminine, bold and confident.

Apartment Therapy {via}

We saw the Savoir chair from Crate and Barrel on Apartment Therapy. Pink velvet and clean lines, what is not to love? Would work nicely with modern or antique furnishings. Or maybe you have a few decorating ideas of you own.

Sweet and Sour Kids {via}

Okay, we found this chair on a children’s furniture site, but we’d use it as a desk chair or in an entry next to a console table. Hot pink pvc and high gloss white give this Louis chair a contemporary feel.

My Mod Style {via}

We’re fans of the shape of the Panton chair and love it even more in hot pink. Let your freak flag fly.

Design Crisis {via}

Hot pink coffee table (Atelier Abigail Ahern) pops in predominately neutral grey living room design. With clean lines and contemporary style this table feels less feminine.

Really digging the hot pink legs on these otherwise white chairs. A contemporary twist on a traditional style chair can be easily done with paint. This color is similar to Pantone’s Honeysuckle, their color for 2011.

If a piece of hot pink furniture is too bold for you, consider adding the color through accessories like pillows, glass, throws and lamps or lampshades.
