Bausch + Lomb Contacts Update

A few weeks ago I wrote about my son getting ready to transition to contacts. He has now been using the Bausch + Lomb Soflens daily disposable contact lenses for a few weeks.

He’d been asking for contacts for a few years and we didn’t think he was ready yet. Now, at 14 I was pretty sure he was ready to make the transition. He’s hated wearing glasses and was excited when MomCentral offered us the opportunity to try the Bausch + Lomb Soflens daily disposable contact lenses.

The transition from glasses to contacts as been really easy. Our Optometrist gave Q (my son) a little contact 101 and showed him how to insert his contacts, which he has found pretty easy. He says his vision is the same using contacts, so there is no difference. As a sports player, it’s great to be able to wear contacts, as glasses are often broke. I’ve loved Q being able to play sports without the risk of yet another broken pair of glasses.

I love how the Bausch + Lomb Soflens daily disposable contacts are used once then  throw away. They are pre-packaged in small containers that are opened and used immediately. I was worried if he had monthly or weekly contacts he would end up with eye infections from not properly caring for them, so these are perfect for 1st time contact wearers. It’s great to have a contact that is worn once then thrown away; no more need for storing or cleaning contacts.

Not only are these contacts easy for young teens to use, they have been a great self-esteem booster for my son. He feels like he looks better and I can tell in his attitude (as he checks himself out in the mirror while getting ready for school). Q now looks so grown up! As a mom this makes me feel great seeing my son feel better about himself.

I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Bausch + Lomb and received Soflens daily disposables to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
