Chow Bots Eating Utensils {review}

When it comes to getting my children to eat, I’ll admit, I will do just about anything! From hiding veggies, buying books on sneaking in healthy foods, to purchasing fun eating utensils that encourage fun eating.

A few weeks ago I saw the Chow Bots Eating Utensils over at Crab Apple Kids. The modern Chow Bots Eating Utensils, are sold in a set of two, one fork and one spoon ($11.99). The fork is an orange color and the spoon is a teal color. “These android eating implements are programmed to support your food-consumption mission. Chow Bots are configured with soft silicone for fun, stainless steel for function, and an advanced user interface so you can hold the future in your very own hands!”

Chow Bots Eating Utensils

Chow Bots Eating UtensilsThe Chow Bots Eating Utensils are perfect for small hands (my 1 and 3 year old sons both can use them), and offer a fun addition to the dinner table! We have several sets of utensils made for children, that are just to big for them to use with ease. That is not a problem with the Chow Bots Eating Utensils, as the handles are wide for an easy grasp and are not to heavy for a small child to use. The actual dimensions are: 6-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ x 1/2″ (16 cm x 3 cm x 1 cm). The actual fork and spoon is small enough for your little ones mouth, so they are not spilling food as they try and use the utensils.

The design is really fun and the bolts and mechanical turning wheel within the handles make eating fun, for any little robot! I love that the handles are silicone, because it is a more eco-friendly option that traditional plastic. I also really like the stainless steel, as it is easy to clean and safe for the dishwasher.

These utensils have enabled my oldest son (3) to spend more time focusing on meal time, which make these worth the price! While my youngest (1) likes to play with them as he practices using eating utensils, he is not quiet ready to use a fork and spoon, but sure hand enjoyed playing with them at dinner time!

  4. Haha! These are cute!

  5. Two good points: either the child is learning and using them to eat or he is at least entertained while everyone else eats!

  8. These are so cute that they make meal time fun, even for picky eaters. They just might eat their least favorite vegetable when they have Chow Bots! Great idea!
