Create Back Yard Fun With a Summer Garden Fort

Looking for a great Sumner fort that’s easy to set up? Well, you’ll have to grow it first!  Teach your kids about gardening at the same time you give them a cool place to hide out this summer. I love Magic Cabin’s GardenFort™ which is available online or through their catalog at http://www.magiccabin.com catalog for $69.98 Standard shipping rates apply.  The structure when assembled measures 58″L x 58″W x 48″H. It comes with seeds that sprout black-eyed Susan vines, and Cypress vines. I love black-eyed Susans! The structure is light-weight, and comes with a mesh covering that allows the vines to grow and crawl.

It’s great for kids that are home schooled, as they can watch the seeds grow to full plants over time, but it’s also great for kids who just want a unique play fort for summer play activities. This product does require patience, and not all kids may have it. I had to set expectations for my daughters that the vines would grow slowly. For my kids it was worth it! When it bloomed, they were ecstatic to show their friends, and played in it for much of the summer months.

It assembles fairly easily, and disassembles easily too, as seasons change and the vines begin to whither. It’s perfect for an afternoon tea or a quiet reading nook. Fairies, butterflies, and other woodland creatures are sure to find their way to a party in this backyard fort.

After the first blooming season – or if you just don’t feel like waiting on the vines to grow – cover the structure with scarves, sheets, and blankets. My kids love this almost more than when the vines grow over it. The gratification is much quicker for them. And you don’t have to worry about watering the vines to get them to grow. You could even cover the structure in fake flowers and vines if you felt like it.

For moms who are into natural living and green practices this product encourages Earth-loving and outdoor play. I love seeing my daughter’s imaginations go wild with this product. I’m a big fan of Magic Cabin® products. Some are pricier than others, but they are so unique.
