If you’ve got a rat, lizard, cockroach or other unwelcome pest visiting you in your bathroom then you’re no doubt looking for a quick solution to your problem. Pests in the home are just that, pests! They make you feel uncomfortable at best and down right shaken up and scared to live in your own home at worst. You don’t have to put up with this any longer. Here is how to get rid of your intruders.
If it’s rodents that have moved into your bathroom then try plugging in an ultrasonic unit to get them packing their bags and finding a new home. These units need to be plugged in throughout the home to ensure the rats don’t simply shift to an area where the sound cannot be heard. Reptiles cannot detect the ultrasonic sounds so this solution is not suitable in that case. There are many claims that the ultrasonic units work and many that claim they don’t, it could be worth giving them a try though if you don’t want to go down the path of killing the creatures.
Light it Up
Lizards are attracted to light so if you’ve got a problem with them in your bathroom then consider this option to get rid of them. After dark turn off all the lights in the room and then shine a torch into a corner. The lizards will be attracted to the light. If you want to use a spray to get rid of them now is the time. If you would prefer to stick with a non-lethal option, something that might simply scare the lizards away, then seriously consider adding a cat to your family. No lizard likes being a tossing toy for any cat and before long they will all leave and move to a new cat free home. Of course there are no guarantees that the cat won’t harm some lizards too!
When it comes to getting rid of cockroaches there really is only two options clean and bait. If you keep your bathroom super clean and free of water then you’ll win the cockroach wars. How do you keep your bathroom free of water? Wipe up after you use the shower, sink and bath. Sounds like an annoying task to have to perform day in and day out doesn’t it but if you want them gone then you need to cut off their life line – water. If you want to be certain the roaches will be a thing of the past then utilise bait specific to the type of critters that are invading your home. There are quite a number of different cockroaches so be sure you have the correct bait.
