Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure {Review & Giveaway} CLOSED

The Holidays are quickly approaching and it’s about that time again when we pull out the Christmas trees, start listening to holiday music and start watching the beloved Christmas movies we have had packed away for 11 months! This Christmas there are lots of new movies on the market for Nickelodeon lovers everywhere!

dora movie DVD reviewIf your home is anything like mine, Dora is the loved seven-year-old who adventures take place in a fun filled world. My girls love to curl up on the couch and watch Dora daily. Not only do we watch Dora on TV we have Dora The Explorer dolls, backpacks, clothing and everything else my girls see with that cartoon face-Dora.

This Christmas Dora lovers can enjoy a glimpse of holiday fun with Dora, in the newly released, Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure on DVD. This is a really cute movie that is just under an hour long (52 minutes run-time)! Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon sent us a copy for review and in two days we have watched it 3 times! (I am not sure how many times I can see it before I get tired of it, but the girls love it).

In Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure on DVD Swpier decides to try and swipe the Christmas Star from Dora’s Nochebuena (Christmas Eve) Party and ends up on Santa’s naughty list. To help Swiper get back on the nice-list Dora has to help Swiper. Using the magical “travel capes” Dora and Swiper journey into the past and future to see if Swiper can learn the real meaning of Christmas.

This is one of my favorite Dora flicks because it seems to be geared for young and old and is not like the typical Dora episode. While learning and fun is still packed in this movie, Dora does not repeat the things over and over. This makes it easier for an adult to watch. The the bonus features include two  music videos Dora Style, Jingle Bells’ and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’.

The entire movie is packed full of beautiful graphics, holiday music and fun! It is really a great movies for kids and moms who like to cuddle on the couch for a movie too! It would make a great gift this holiday or a great family movie everyone can enjoy!
