French Toast Official School Wear {review & giveaway} CLOSED

It’s that time of year again when parents are school shopping. I’m sure anyone who has started shopping has come across the French Toast Line. The line of clothing is designed for children who are required to wear a school uniform with clothing for boys and girls.

French Toast Official School Wear™ is America’s leading brand of school uniform. Since 1958, our company has provided families with quality children’s wear and boys and girls school uniforms at great prices. Our selection of uniform styles and sizes is second to none, from toddler size uniforms through young adult, French Toast carries over 6,000 individual colors, styles and sizes in stock, all year round! French Toast uniforms can be found at retailers across the nation, or on-line at

While my children are not required to wear uniforms to school, I love the preppy school girl look that can be created with the kids school uniforms! The white dress tops and solid skirts or dresses look adorable on my daughter!

Regardless of what style of clothing I am shopping for, I look for quality. If the price is good, that’s even better! French Toasts apparel is not only affordable but made of quality materials. The girls school uniforms consist of knits, polos, jumpers, dresses, skirts, sweaters and even accessories like shoes. The boys school uniforms consist of polo tops, pants, shorts, sweaters, ties and belts.

We recently had the opportunity to review a few pieces from the French Toast line.

I was able to create an adorable preppy with the pleated hem jumper ($10.98 black), short sleeve peter pan blouse ($7.98 white), and the velcro strap shoes ($25/black).

The Cotton/polyester jumper is available in black, navy and khaki colors. It has a zipper back with pleated hem and cute grosgrain ribbon topped with a small bow on the left side of the jumper.

The short sleeve blouse is available in white, blue, pink and white. The collar is rounded and closes with 5 front buttons. The Cotton/polyester  blend features a Wrinkle No More™ fabric, that really works well! It arrived folded and the shirt did not have any fold lines!

The girls Velcro strap shoes are even cuter in person! The chunky non-slip sole give these shoes a fun look. They are made of a synthetic leather and strap shut with a Velcro strap that’s topped with an imprinted faux-buckle.

While the shoes are adorable, I did find them to scratch easily and slightly off on sizing. After just one wear there were 3 scratches across the sides. They were not worn on a PE day so I am not sure how the scratched got there, but they did. My daughter normally wears a size 12, which is the size we ordered, but they were a tad wide for her feet. I ended up having her wear thick socks to make up some of the extra room in the shoes.

Overall I am happy with the apparel! The top and jumper are made well! Straight hems, buttons sewn well, and both washed great with no misshaping. For the price you really can’t go wrong. $18.96 for an outfit (dress and blouse) is very reasonable.

I’d love to see French Toast offer some other colors in the jumpers skirts. While I know their line is designed for uniforms and most school do not have a pink or purple dress code, it would be great for mom’s like me that like their products but want more color options.

French Toast school uniforms can be purchased at retailers across the nations or online at
