I selected the Jeep Liberty Limited stroller to review for a few reasons.

  1. My resolution this year was to start working out and I needed a good stroller that could keep up.
  2. The stroller comes with iBaby Sound System which lets you hook up your iPod or mp3. Perfect for moms on the go that need that music motivation!
  3. It’s designed with tires that grip all types of terrain so we can use it in the mountains, shopping mall, down the road or at the beach.
  4. The stroller is JPMA Certified.

My Jeep Liberty Limited stroller was shipped to me via UPS. I was a bit scared when it got here because the bottom of the box (shown to the left) was torn up a bit. I was scared that some of the parts may be bent, missing or broken.

To my surprise nothing was missing  or broken. Everything was packaged well, so I was in luck!

I’ll admit that I am not the most mechanically inclined person, so I was scared about trying to put something together. My husband was out of the country for work and I did not want to wait and decided to attempt it myself.

When I opened the box there were not many parts at all. I was really shocked as I was expecting lots of parts, bolts, screws, ect., but that was not the case. The entire upper portion of the stroller was already assembled, so I only had to put the wheels on, attach the canopy, and the electronic toy steering.

The instructions were very straight forward and I was able to have the entire stroller put together in about 20 minutes. Really it could have been less if my little helper was not assisting.

Here are the easy to follow instructions

To Assemble Rear Wheels

  1. Remove and discard protective plastic sleeve from ends of brake assembly with rear axle. Place stroller on floor with seat facing down.
  2. Position brake assembly with rear axle as shown ( in the instructions), with brake levers pointing towards stroller handle.

    Pin through hole on axle

  3. Push both sides of brake assembly onto rear leg tubes at the same time until spring loaded buttons click into place.
  4. Slide a rear wheel onto the axle then slide a washer onto the axle.
  5. Fit straight part of cotter pin through hole on axle.
  6. Line up each of the tabs in the hub cap with the slots in the wheel, snap hub cap into place. Repeat for other side.

To Assemble Front Wheel Tube

  1. Place stroller so the handle bar and rear wheels are touching the floor.
  2. Position front wheel assembly over plastic side housings.
  3. Align tubes with plastic housings and push front wheel assembly on the frame. You may need to depress the spring loaded buttons slightly while assembling the tubes.

To Attach Front Wheel

  1. Secure Front Wheel Tube to the front frame tubes using screws. The screws should be aligned into the 2 holes located on the underside of plastic side housing. Secure with a Phillips screwdriver on both sides.
  2. Discard plastic protective bar at the end of stroller fork. Align front wheel axle with cutouts in the front wheel fork. You may need to loosen the nuts on both end of the axle in order to make room for the front wheel fork.
  3. Ensure that the tab on the tear drop shaped washer is aligned with the hole on the front fork as shown. Tighten nut with wrench. Repeat for other side.

To Attach Cargo Bags

  1. To attach cargo bags, feed and secure one end of Velcro strap through slot on the plastic side housings.

To Attach Front Tray

  1. Align posts on tray with receptacles on plastic side housings and push until each side clicks in place.

To Install Batteries in Electronic Toys

  1. To insert batteries, use a Phillips head screwdriver to unfasten battery cover. Insert batteries as shown. Requires 2 “AA” batteries (Not Included). Secure battery cover.

To Attach Toys

  1. Place toy so that they face the child in the stroller.
  2. Align tabs on back of toy with slots in child tray.
  3. Press down firmly on toy until front and back tabs lock toy securely in place.

To Install Batteries into iBaby™

  1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the battery door and place batteries in the compartment.
  2. Screw the battery door back onto the unit and replace the foam.

Completely Put Together

My Thoughts On The Jeep Liberty Stroller

Before even using the Jeep Liberty Limited Stroller I was impressed with how sturdy it was after being put together. As I said above I am not a very “handy” person, yet I was able to put this stroller together with no frustration and NO CUSS WORDS! Everything was really easy to do following the instructions and did not really required manly muscles.

Before I even took the new stroller for a spin I tested it out around the house to make sure I did in-fact put it together correctly and it was safe. This is a very sturdy stroller! The five-point safety harness is sewn well and the straps have nice cushioned covers, to ensure comfort for the child. Adjusting the five-point safety harness was easy by tightening from the back of the stroller.

The Multi-position reclining seat is nice! What I love most is you can adjust it to what ever position you want. There are no set levels for position, which I like because not all children are comfortable in the same positions. To adjust the reclining seats, you simply tighten the strap in the back of the stroller to the desired position.

We have used this stroller on gravel roads during daily walks, bumpy terrain, smooth concrete, and even pushed it on the beach! At no time was it hard to push and I was surprised at how easy it just glided over bumpy terrain!

What I Love About This Stroller

  • It fits many different infant car seats.
  • I love the large storage basket. It is very large compared to most strollers. I can easily fit my diaper bag, groceries and other items.
  • The stroller was very easy to steer and moves with ease even over bumpy terrain and gravel trail.
  • I really like the cup holders for mom or dad! Perfect for my water bottle when we are out in town!
  • The front tray actually fits my sons sippy cup! Many others are smaller holes that will not fit the bulky sippy cups, and this does.
  • The price of the stroller is WELL WORTH IT! I have had much more expensive strollers that do not operate as well.

Stroller Folded

What I Do Not Like About This Stroller

Let me start by saying I am very happy with this stroller and would purchase it again! It works perfect for our busy family and Baby G seems to enjoy our walks! With that said there are 2 things I would love to see changed or modified to make it even more desirable.

  1. The stroller is very bulky. Obviously you can’t have a ultra comfy stroller without some bulk, but this one is really big. We have a Dodge Durango (mid-sized SUV) and it will NOT fit in the back. No matter how I turn it, it just will not fit. When I need the stroller to fit in my vehicle, I have to lay the 3rd row seating down to get it to fit. Now that may not seem like a big issue, but for our family it is, as we need all the seating we can get when we travel together. If you have a vehicle with a large trunk or a SUV with a very large back area it should fit ok.
  2. It is heavy. I am a pretty strong woman and can move it and pick it up, but I can see it being an issue for some.

Overall I am very satisfied with the Jeep Liberty Limited Stroller and would recommend it to my friends who are looking for an easy to operate stroller designed for comfort.
