Land O Lakes Joins Box Tops for Education

When I do my grocery shopping, I often look for items with Box Tops, since we are major collectors for our schools. All of my friends with no children and family with no kids in public schools, even clip them for me, to submit to school. I am sure the kids schools love me, because I send my Box Tops in every other week.

If your not family with Box Tops For Education, it is a program that helps earn money for schools. Products like Huggies, Juicy Juice, Old El Paso, Cheerios, Hamburger Helper, Kleenex, and Totino’s® Crisp Crust Party Pizzas, to name a few all have box tops. Simply clip the coupon looking “box top” (shown to the left) from the package and send them to your school’s Box Tops coordinator —- each one is worth 10¢ for your school.

Consumers can clip the coupons and submit to more than 69,000 U.S. schools participating in Box Tops for Education. Schools then redeem them for cash and typically use what they earn to rebuild playgrounds, fund under-budgeted programs, and purchase classroom equipment, library books, computers and other much-needed supplies.

New items are added all the time that will carry box tops and now beginning in August, more than 80 LAND O LAKES® and Alpine Lace® products will carry Box Tops for Education coupons including LAND O LAKES® Butter and Spreads, LAND O LAKES® Cheese, Alpine Lace® Cheese and LAND O LAKES® Eggs. Yet another reason to shop! 🙂

Land O’Lakes is also a brand participant in the Box Tops for Education sweepstakes: “The Difference One Makes,” which began July 26, 2010 and runs through October 3, 2010. 2. Terri K (@tkharmonic) says:

My son searches for items with Box Tops. We often get them, but sometimes I’ll get something else that’s cheaper and he says “But Moooom, these have Box Tops!”.

  3. When I volunteered at the local food bank I noticed that they rip the box tops off of everything and save all of them! I thought that was so cool. I had to volunteer there and fill a giant shopping cart full of maple syrup bottles. lol. =] It was an interesting experience. I should save box tops too. Sounds like a cool sweepstakes!

Box tops for education is great. All three of my kids schools participate. I split them up into 3 little ziploc bags and turn them in at the end of every report period.
