On a Holiday Gift Budget? Get Creative!

When I was little, I remember my mother telling me that she was dreading Christmas. I couldn’t believe it. How on earth could someone dread CHRISTMAS???? It completely dumbfounded me. With all the festive music, candy canes, pretty colored lights and presents, what was there to be stressful about? But, then something happened. That something was called becoming an adult and living on my own. Out of a job with a mortgage and too many bills to pay, I had no extra money to buy presents for anyone. I was officially dreading the holidays. I was forced to get creative with my gift giving that year, which I had a hard time with at first. But, it wasn’t long before I realized that great gifts do not have to cost you a lot of $$…and so began my obsession with making my own gift baskets!

The best thing about gift baskets is that they are a great gift for one person or a group of people! You can find many cute, inexpensive baskets in various sizes at your local craft store and you can as creative as you want when filling them.
