Shoes For Little Feet {Review & $30 Gift Certificate Giveaway} CLOSED

Buying shoes for children can be a task at times. Often the super cute pink flats or the hip black boys sneakers are not the best fit for growing feet. When kids feet are growing, they need a shoe that supports the right areas of the foot to ensure proper development of feet. There have been many times I have found the must-have shoe to match an outfit only to find it is not a good shoe for a toddler. What a heartbreak that is (especially being an admitted shoe-aholic).

So, I have a select list of websites I like to shop from that carry trust brands for children’ shoes, and a large enough selection to fulfill any taste! A few weeks ago while surfing for a pair of shoes for my 3 year old, I came upon Shoes For Little Feet. The boutique style website designed for little feet offers high quality children’s shoes from world recognized manufacturers. ShoesForLittleFeet.com sent me an ADORABLE pair of SKEANIE Deck Shoes in navy for review. I selected a size XL for my oldest son who is 3 years old. He normally wears a size 6 in shoes, but needed a size XL based on the SKEANIE size chart. The size chart says the XL is for children 18-24 months, but my son is 3 and fits the size perfect (he even has some growth room). Before seeing these cute toddler shoes, I had no clue you could get deck shoes for little ones.

The deck shoes are a transitional shoe, designed to be worn when soft soles are no longer needed but before moving into a traditional sole. SKEANIES are Australian made shoes that are created with quality leather and flexible rubber soles.  SKEANIE deck shoes slip on, which is great for little ones who can not tie yet! The elasticized ankle stretches back while the foot slides in. You’re little one may need a bit of help to get them on until they get the hang of a slide-on shoe.

The top of the shoe features 6 eyelets with navy laces threaded for a tie up shoe look (even though they slide on). Around the entire side of the shoe are eyelets that have navy leather strip weaved in. The toe area of the shoe is sewn in with a white thread and has a bunched/gathered look.

The SKEANIE infant/toddler deck shoes are available in navy and chocolate and sell for $34.95. If your thinking $34 is a lot for a pair of baby shoes, they are well worth it!

What I Like About The SKEANIE Deck Shoe

• While they look cute in the picture, they are better in person!
• The leather the shoes are created with is very soft and the shoes are crafted well.
• The SKEANIE soles are flexible, which is great for infants and toddlers.
• With no laces to tie up, it makes a great shoe for children that can not tie yet.
• They can be worn as a dress shoe or as a casual shoe, so you get more use of them.

I have several pictures to show off MJ wearing these shoes, but my camera has been taken by the “house ghost” and have not been able to find it in two days! When I locate it, I will share some pics!

Overall I am very happy with these shoes!They are well made and to dang cute!
