I am obsessed with journals and notebooks. I mean, obsessed. I have stacks of them in my home office and in my basement. So when my son was born in 2008, it was only natural that I developed a journal company called SporteeGal Journals.
SporteeGal was inspired by my fun, casual golf outings with my husband and girlfriends. I wanted a way to track my progress, my lessons and my amazing hole-in-ones (I can dream, right?). I went on to develop a bunch of other journals including marathon training journals, yoga journals and a running journals. I only did a small test batch of those so I could see how they sold. All of the journals did well, but as a new, very tired mommy, I bit off more than I could chew at the time.
I sold several hundred of the SporteeGal golf journals before I plain ran out of steam. Dealing with postpartum depression and no motivation, I put my lovely golf journals on the back burner. In recent months I have decided that these fun journals don’t deserve to sit in a corner, so here they are to shine in the world again. I’ve decided to sell them through the holiday season and into spring so other sporty golfin’ gals can also enjoy journaling about their golf outings.
